Operation Christmas Child provides an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the life of a child around the world. By packing a shoebox with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and a personal note, you’ll deliver not just gifts, but the message of love and joy to a child in need.
Join millions of volunteers this year to show children they are not forgotten. Each shoebox opens the door to a brighter future and connects them to the true meaning of Christmas.
Be the reason a child smiles this Christmas. Together, we can transform lives—one shoebox at a time.
How to get involved..
Supporting Operation Christmas Child (a project of Samaritan’s Purse) can take many forms. Here are some of the best ways people can help:
1. Pack a Shoebox
- Fill with gifts: Pack a shoebox with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, clothing, and other small items. You can include a personal note or photo for the child.
- Follow guidelines: Make sure to follow the specific do-not-include list, such as no liquids, breakables, soap or food.
- Label your box: Choose a label for a boy or girl and their age range. Labels are available at the Crystal Hills Church Office.
- Drop-off location: Drop off at Crystal Hills Assembly at anytime.
2. Donate Online
- You can donate directly on the Operation Christmas Child website to cover shipping costs for shoeboxes ($10 per box) or contribute to specific needs like discipleship programs.
3. Pray
- Pray for the children receiving the boxes, the volunteers, and the mission teams delivering the gifts.
4. Spread Awareness
- Share the mission of Operation Christmas Child with friends, family, and community members.
5. Share Your Testimony
- If you’ve packed shoeboxes before or participated in any part of the process, share your experiences to inspire others to get involved.
